It is a virtually new 27,200 sticker car with way over 15k in extras!! Do the math!! Your getting all the extras for pennies on the dollar!
Thanks for the well wishes, but if you dont have anything positive to say you would be better served to keep quiet!

I see you have som eissues. I wish you well in getting them taken care of before your entire life is ruined!
As for anyone else reading this. I encourage you to make up your own minds on what is a fair price. I basically used the normal available means to determine the value of a loaded car (less sunroof and nav) with 3,200 miles. then took roughly 30% of the cost of doing all of the mods. Keeping inmind that the mods are all in virtually new condition as well. thus $33,000.
I f I get no intrest, so be it. I just feel that a moderator should dlete a post which provides no service to anyone with the possible exception of the poster getting a puffed up chest!
I thought a Mini enthusiast would appreciate a Very well done car, so I posted it here. I am not one to " live " on the forums, so may be I am way off base
Happy Motoring!

Actually, CDMini's post *was* being helpful. We've seen a LOT of Mini's bought and sold on this board, and historically speaking, your car is going to be a hard sell at $33k.
First, it's a sad fact that aftermarket add-ons add almost nothing to the resale value of a car, unless the complete package is *exactly* what a potential buyer was looking for. This is especially true with the high-dollar cosmetic bits, like your JCW carbon fiber scoop and mirror covers. Don't get me wrong - they're beautiful parts. I have most of the available JCW CF pieces on my car, but when I spent $350 just for the downtubes (without labour), I knew up-front that I'll never recoup any of that if I sell them with the car in the future.
Plus, you're trying to sell a top-end MCS *right before* the shiny, new 2007 models become available. That can work for you or against you, but more likely against you. For someone that wants a loaded MCS and doesn't like the 2007's or doesn't want to wait, yours might be attractive. But an even greater number of people are going to be hesitant to spend that much on a Mini that will be instantly "dated" when the new ones come out. (I'm not saying that the 2006 cars look any "better" or "worse" than the new ones, but they WILL be instantly recognizable as "last year's model" once the new ones come out).
Lastly, once you get up close to the top end of the price range for the Mini, there are some other brands/models that start to look pretty attractive, especially among used cars.
He wasn't saying that your asking price was completely out to lunch, it's just a little bit on the high side, so don't be surprised if you have to either lower your asking price up front, or at least be willing to negotiate once you have a potential buyer.

Not my cup of tea, good luck with your ad. Try craigslist.com too.

I'm exceptionally glad to have found a forum where the 'level-headed' enthusiasts rule. . . have visited several forums where the majority of the posters get so wrapped up emotionally in their cars that they just don't want to accept that all of sweat, tears, money, and skinned knuckles they've poured into their vehicles don't really matter when it comes time to re-sell the car. I'm glad to see that reason seems to prevail here.
To the OP -- please take the feedback here in the way in which it was intended: people who've observed lots of Mini sales and want to help you set a price where you will get what you want . . . a Mini that is sold. I suppose the feedback could upset you . . . but if it does, then I think the "issue" is with you, not with the poster who provided reasoned feedback. After all, if you're so sure that what you're offering is a total no-brainer, then some "idiot" posting that your price is too high should be patently evident to virtually EVERYONE who sees his/her post.

If you want to get the most $ return for your mods, definitely take them/have them taken off and sell seperately. 50% is a reasonable expectation for used goodies, but you can often get more, especially on ebay. I know people would jump on a JCW steering wheel for $250.
The 30% methodology is reasonable (but not if the $15K includes labor - money spent on labor is money spent), then take 10-20% off MSRP (it IS used) to get a 'selling' price. But hey, ask what you want, and in time, you may find a buyer who's looking for exactly what you've got. Time=money.
Also, letting people know you're in NE Illinois would help if someone wants to take a look.
Good luck with the sale.

Eric is giving good advice - you would be much more likely to sell the car stock, and the mods on ebay, to get a decent $$ return. Currently you can pick up a brand new '06 full JCW S for what your asking for a used MC S with some of the JCW bling and a few aftermarket tuner bits. That's the unfortunate issue of after market mods - they don't add a dime to the sales price of a used car.
