2004 Chili Red Mcs

I am selling my MCS, here are the details.
Red/Red
Space cloth interior
Sport, Premium and Cold weather package
Auto dimming mirrors

Exterior mods
Damani Tech 5 17x7 wheels with Toyo Proxes 4 215/40/17
Aero grill
Red painted calipers
Alta antenna
I also have the original S-lites
Tinted windows

Interior mods
Glove box organizer
Centre arm rest
Cubby hole organizer
Alpine CDA-9851 receiver
Polk db690 6x9rear, db5200 component fronts
Rockord fosgate 4 channel amp mounted under passanger seat
Alpine MFSW adapter
Redline goods leather shifter and e-brake boot( charcoal with red stitching)
Momo race air leather shifter (red)

Performance Mods
Alta 15% reduction pulley
Alta CAI
Scorpion cat back exhaust
H-sport lowering springs and Steve's auto clinic control arms
Denso Iridium plugs

The car also has LOW JACK and the extended factory warranty to 4yrs/50k which is a $850 dealer option.

I am looking for $24,500. I am located in So Cal and the Kbb here for this car is $24500 so I think it is a fair price considering all of my mods, the warranty and the low jack.

Please pm me if interested.

Great looking MCS...correct me if I'm wrong though, isn't the normal factory warrany 4years/50k miles? Did you mean to put a different number up there...because if you got charged $850 for the normal warranty, something is not right with that dealer

I think the warranty for a mini is 3yrs/36000 miles. I hope so or else I'll be pissed

3/36k is the service period;4/50k is the warranty, you may have purchased an extended service coverage or supplemental warranty like a road hazard or paint protection type thing though, better check your paperwork.

Does anyone have any ideas on why this car is so hard to sell? I have had it for sale for 5 weeks on autotrader and only one call. I now have it on SCMM, craigslist as well as here. So I will wait and see. Seliing a car is a P.I.T.A!!!!!

May be the price is too high?...If you see my other threads I offered my '04 JCW 13500 miles with so many things added to it for $ 21500, and still no offers....so i guess is the price

Minispider where are you located? I am in So.Cal and there should be no way that a car like yours for that price can't sell. Is the market saturated or has the mini lost its appeal. I can tell you now that when I was looking for one about two years ago they would sell within a week of being on the market, now 5 weeks and one call. This really sucks!!!!

One thing to also note is: you'll never really be able to recoup the cost of your mods...I know you paid a lot for them...but you're offering them for sale on a car that maybe the next buyer may not care about...so you have to take into consideration that you might just take a loss on the mods you spent. That's the #1 thing about modding...you never really get your money back...I'd list it at Blue Book value, rather than upping the value because of aftermarket parts...in a lot of cases with dealers, aftermarket parts actually DECREASE the value of a car, as it's not OEM. Just my .02 deposited....you can hold out for a while longer to see if anyone bites at that price...but with being able to buy a new S model for that price, with full warranty, no miles, etc...people might be taking that approach...if it doesn't sell after another few weeks, you're definitely going to have to lower the price to get it to move. Take it to CarMax, and get a written estimate on it...that may give you a better idea what to ask for as well....they usually estimate on the high side too (at least that's how they work on the East Coast).

Very true. If you take it to carmax, they are not going to give (probably not because I complained about it when I tried on another car) ... ANYTHING for the stereo stuff .... they just dont care. Same with the wheels and performance mods ... makes it very hard to sell.

To me all mods do is raise the risk losing some warranty & I think if it were me I would rather buy a new Mini for darn near your asking price . I know things are more expensive in CA but people there can still get a new Mini for your price if they are willing to go get it (if they wish to mod they can mod to their own preferences).

Yea, people seem to think they can sell their MINI's for more than they really can! I am looking for a MINI and used 02'-03's out, or close to out of warrenty with 40-50k miles are trying to get $20+k for them. I mean.....come on....seriously! New MINI's start at $21k (talking about MCS'). And that is the reason I'm saving up a year longer to buy new! Can't wait! Next summer w00t!!!! (Hopefully I can find an 06' somewhere....unless the 07' turns out to be amazing....which I doubt).

Good luck on your sale!
-Cody

Price is too high, especially for an 04 modded car. Mods might not be to someones liking. You can buy an 06 JCW for 3 grand more and have a new car w/ better gearing and a full factory warranty (which may be hard to get serviced considering your mods).

Good luck

Hi bob if you don't like what you see give me a call and we can work out a price that may make it worth your while to buy with a moonroof. Why no moonroof? Are you planning on racing or do you not care for a moonroof.
