FS: V-Tec Mini

Well after a repair for the ignition issue I was having the Beastie is not starting again. I am sure the shop will see if it's something covered by their work before making it hopefully a cheap fix this time, but I am quite tired of it.

I spent a large amount of cash to have a largely reliable Mini on the road, and well it's due to be in the shop again.

I am planning on putting her in Auto Trader for $75 bucks(lifetime add is $75 till the sale of your car or you wish not to sell it any longer) with a price on her reflecting what I need to get out of it. I will sit on that add till I get it or till she is not the pain in my *** she has been.

I think I will be looking for something brand new and unique......

and FAST.....

Who knows?

Here is my old build thread so you can see what she looks like.

Best to PM me if you are interested in making me an offer.

Dude... so sorry. Love your car and I hope it goes to another NAM-mer that can diagnose the issue. Best of luck to you!

Sorry to hear this. I didn't realize you were having difficulties with it. Vtec conversions look like a pretty daunting task... I couldn't/wouldn't attempt to pull it off.

I'm just done, I want a car running, not one that I have to work on all the time.

I've started t osee a few Vtech conversions in the L.A area . Some of these are really done well. It's like anything else you do your homework and take your time and it has a good chance of coming out to your liking. they do look like a handfull under hard acceleration though. Talk about torque steer monsters .

They have a torquesteer issue, but I equate it to the WWI Sopwith Camel. I learn the car and can use the steer to my advantage. it IS a handfull though.

Good luck getting her running - sure looks like a wonderful car, but any engine swap will have "teething" issues. Good news is once they're worked out you're on a good path, bad news is, well, it sometimes takes a while. You'll learn a lot, more than you want to know, even if it seems relatively simple. Good luck! I want one of these badly, but that kind of jing just isn't in the cards...

Thanks.

Just waiting on a replacement idle control valve. Something shorted in it from lack of clearance from the firewall. They are "reshaping" that area of the firewall currently and I hope they find the part soon.

I cannot seem to cut the code from http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/ca...mini-sale.html and add it here so I guess the link will have to do.

The Mini is working perfectly now. Idle control valve relocated and custom mounting fabricated so there will be no future issues with it. Been driving her around today. Had I not a brand new car I may reconsider selling her.

Please feel free to make an offer if interested.
