FS: GP 0019 SOLD!
GP 0019 for sale. $30,000, will listen to intelligent offers.
Will ignore standard NAM comments as to why no one should buy a GP.
This is the third lowest number GP in the US.
Dash was signed by John Michael Cooper on the day of delivery in Monterey.
This is not a collector item, speculator car, or garage queen. It was picked up in Monterey, driven across country on MTTS. For those of you who wonder, yes, it is possible to correctly break one in on a trip across country!
8690 miles as of today. Car is in Las Vegas.
Always garaged when not driving.
As well as MTTS, GP0019 has been to the Dragon. Dragon stickers can be removed.
Aero grill.
In dash AVEC N3 Nav. Stock radio included. Wires were not cut, adapters were used.
Factory armrest installed.
This is our 4th MINI, and we love it, but:
We mainly bought this GP for the Monterey delivery, and MTTS. We really like it, but it is not the type MINI that I have to have. I do not drive in a manner that requires this much of a performance car. The choice we have is to put a tow bar on the GP and tow it with our camper, or sell it and buy a stick shift MINI to tow. I just hate the idea of having this nice of a car being pelted with rocks.
There are a few rock chips, and a small nick on the top of the rear bumper.

You have mentioned from the beginning that I am just not a performance car type of person. The drive across country was the best time with the GP, even if I did get the second speeding ticket in 40 years. Thank goodness the nice Trouper knocked the speed down to less than a felony.
I have a neighbor who keeps a Corvette in his garage, and washes it twice a week. He told me yesterday that the tires are 10 years old now, and that the gas has gone stale in the tank. I can't see that being a proper fate for GP 0019. The sale of the GP leaves us with only four vehicles, so we will have to learn to manage.
We are planning on traveling for most of a full year at least, and the car would just sit. We are going to order a more mundane model to equip for a dingy car, not leaving the MINI fold at all.
As an aside, we met Jim McDowell at ths dragon this year. We gave him a custom dragon glass in appreciation of his patience with us/me at Monterey.

hey guys! Sorry you have to get rid of her... wish we were ready for a GP.. I'd be all over that... especially since we made the drive on MTTS too!

Good morning all.
GP 0019 is available again.
Potential buyers should note that there is no NADA book value for a GP, and anticipate that you should have a special relationship with your lender.
Again, realistic offers will be considered.
I forgot, GP 0019 is also equipped with Ian Culls most excellent auto up circuit.

Thanks!
MTTS was good times. I wish we had had the money to stay in all the recommended hotels, to keep up with the party.
We asked Jim McDowell about the next MTTS when we were at the dragon, and he did not rule it out. Don't know how much MINI USA will get involved with the next one. That cost a truckload of money.

Thanks!
We have our reservations for next year! I think we are going to put the Daisy wheels back on the LY convertible. Looking forward to another week with good people.

Wow, that's my lucky number. Hmm if I fall *** backwards into some cash or my wife runs off with a millionaire, I'll be all over it. Maybe a trade for my '06 MC if the latter happens.

Thanks!
As stated, the car is in Las Vegas. We will be here for another month or so.

Hmm... I'm in Vegas through Friday on business. I'll do my best at the tables and if things work out I'll give you a call.
Bump for you, I wish I could just buy it and tell the wife it followed me home.

I just received a nice PM from another GP owner asking us if we thought it would be a conflict if he listed his GP for sale while mine was advertised. I wrote a pretty long reply, but the PM was refused as his mailbox was full.
Nope, I think that there are plenty of potential buyer out there. Geographic location of the car has a lot to do with who would want our GP or yours.
Offers have been in the ballpark of asking price. Financing is a problem for some folks, and some interested persons are just talkers.
Good luck with the sale of your GP, and I will be looking for your ad.

I'm sorry to hear that y'all are getting rid of the GP. But at least you're doing it for the right reasons.
Yours was the first GP I got to see in the flesh, back at the campground at MOTD this year. I just wish I had the disposable income to give it a good home in my driveway. I'd love to have an '06 again, especially a GP!

GP 0019 is sold.
All I can tell you that the buyer was not Dale Earnhart Jr. I will leave it up to the new owner to tell his tale.
Thanks to all who inquired about GP 0019, and special thanks to those who posted kind words about the car.
That is a great car, and I really hated to see it go. Hoping the new caretaker has as much fun as we did with it, and may his speeding tickets be cheaper than the one I got.
See a lot of you at the Dragon. We will be there this time in Daisy MINI. Now I have to get out and put the Girlie wheels back on what was MY convertible.
