2006 MCS Raffle!
2006 MCS Raffle!
Evergreen Scholarship/Bootstraps, Inc. (ESBI) will raffle a 2006 Chili Red/White MINI Cooper S at Evergreen (Colorado) High School on April 25th (5:30 pm). The MCS has a black/white checkerboard top, 17" S-Lites, Auto AC, Sports Seats, Black Floor Mats, and more. The car remains in storage, waiting for its new owner at the local Ralph Schomp MINI (Littleton) dealership.
Proceeds from the raffle go directly towards the funding of both scholarships and no-interest loans to year 2006 graduates of Conifer and Evergreen area high schools.
Tickets for the MCS went on sale Dec. 1, 2005 and only up a maximum of 750 will be sold at $100 each. Raffle is registered with the Colorado Secretary of State's Office. Ticket sales are only through ESBI board members. Contact board member Jim Smith jsmith0763@msn.com or 303-674-6589 for details.
Update: As of 3/19/06, about 400 tickets have been sold
Local club MINI5280.org has assisted ESBI in publicizing the raffle to club members and the MINI community at-large. Thanks for your support!
Drawing in two days
Yes, as of about a week ago, they'd projected between 500 and 550 by the time of the drawing, which is strictly controlled by their permit from the State. Anybody wanting to buy a ticket should telephone Jim directly (see 1st post) and make arrangements.
I've got my ticket, so I'm hoping to have to kick my truck out of the garage to make room for another MINI!

Address...
The address of the, uh, drawing. Ah, yeah, it's, uh. Just go west from Denver, then turn right at the Evergreen tree. You can't miss it. Go to the corner of WALK and DONT WALK (it's flashing). It's the small, shiny car in between the MINIvans and Suburbans. You can borrow my U-Haul trailer after I return it to the station...
And the winner is...
Ronny Kambic of Evergreen is the proud owner of a brand new 2006 MINI Cooper S. The raffle, benefitting ESBI (see 1st post) was concluded April 25th. Ronny, wife Valerie and children Cory and Jessica picked up their Chili Red/Checkerboard top/Bonnet Stripes MCS from Ralph Schomp MINI in Littleton, Colo. today at 6 PM. Jim Smith and the ESBI board of directors presented the keys to Ronny, sporting a big smile. MINI5280.org (local MINI club) presented Ronny with a free one-year membership.
A total of 557 tickets of 750 were sold, some to folks from out of state. ESBI will also be providing a vanity license plate "BOOTS 1."
Jim Smith, president of ESBI, mentioned that they will be raffling another MINI Cooper S later this year or early next year! One Ralph Schomp MINI visitor was so excited about today's raffle award that she provided her business card and promised to buy the first ticket from the next raffle. Keep watching NAM for the next ESBI MCS raffle!
