Can't make the Charity Ride? No problem...
if you want to send a gift, JUST LET ME KNOW WHERE TO PICK IT UP THAT SATURDAY THE 11TH and I will come by and get it, no questions asked. Again, with a tag with your name, unwrapped, is great.
Thanks,
Jonathan
Thanks,
Jonathan

Assistance needed, please
Anyone going to be meeting us at the SOUTH location next Sunday for the Children's Charity Toy Run? If so, I can use a little help collecting some toys that my son is getting from his school.
If you will be joining us, and can make a short side trip, PM me here..

Good Question
Each toy should have a name tag from the giver. The easiest thing is to punch a hole in your business card, attach with ribbon, leave it at that.
Thanks...
Otherwise, a name and company will do....

I won't be able to attend due to the fact that I will actually be there working on the night shifts...but a little info on the gifts that are ideal
Gifts that are in original packaging are best. Stuffed animals and things like that are not always good, unless they come in original packaging. The reasoning behind this is that there are several kiddos that are immuno suppressed, meaning that they are at extreme risk of infections. (cancer patients, heart transplant patients, things like that) So, if you have not yet picked up toys for the event, look for things that are packaged individually and not just random stuffed animals and things like that.
I think this will be awesome, and I am so glad you all are doing this...I only wish I had the time off work to join you all, but unfortunately, I will be sleeping between shifts while you all are having all the fun,
cheers

Children's Toy Run UPDATE...important
I just got a call from Children's Hospital. Due to the high incidence of INFLUENZA at the Hospital this year, they have asked that all children under the age of 12 NOT enter the hospital this year. I guess that means that our youth (the future of America) is a high risk transmitter of lip, sass, backtalk, noise, and of course, influenza.
Anyone who had intended to take the Hospital tour with us can still do so, we will just have to leave our influenza-carrying youths outside.
I regret this situation and any trouble it may cause you. However....we can STILL park all the MINIs in the circle on the West side of Childrens. I guess that the MINIs don't transmit the flu...
JPS
PS: I have already collected over 3 MINI loads of toys, ie enough toys to fill 3 MINIs FULL! Those of you meeting at the South location, please plan to take some with you...

Thanks to all of you who joined us yesterday for this fun event. All told we collected over 200 gifts, toys, stuffed animals and more for the residents of Denver's Children's Hospital. Special thanks to Barbara Agnelli and her staff at Children's for their gracious hospitality and the hospital tour.
