My Mini is still on order...but I'm hoping to make it up there to check out some of the others! I love that show, haven't been in a couple years though.

I have a British car (non-Mini) I was thinking of bringing to this event...do you know if there's any restriction on how early you can remove your car from the show? The details online didn't mention anything like that.

I'm now seriously considering this. I was originally doing the Wyoming air base tour and drive next weekend, as Jenn was gonna be out of town with her mum. But now that she's not...I'll be local. Would love to. Go to it every year, but never had a car to put in it until now. Will know for sure by tomorrow, I guess.

And if I go, I will definitely be doing the Saturday tour. For me, that's the real point!

You should enjoy the tour this year. I wrote most of it driving my MINI. It is shorter than last year as I got a lot of 'feedback' on the length of last years tour. Some of the roads on this years tour I have used before and some are 'new'. I will re-run the route this Friday to make sure there are no road closures like last year.

I would love to see a larger turnout of MINI's as I would love to break out additional classes for Coupe, Roadster, Clubman, Countryman etc. but cannot until we get a greater representation at the show. Keep in mind that there IS a MINI owner on the Board of Directors (me) and that even though I bring one of my other cars (usually a MG, sometimes my Triumph) to the event, I am looking out for the interests of MINI's at the event.

In previous years people have left the show whenever they wanted, just realize that if you leave early you might miss out on an award!

I'll be on-site for the Sunday car show with both cameras in hand.

There is no restriction on when you leave, just my hurt feelings when everyone leaves early

I know the 'Manning' bowl is Sunday, but I would rather spend a day in the park with a bunch of cool British Cars and nice people instead of watching overpaid 'athletes' hot ******* over how 'great' they are while dropping the ball before getting into the end-zone

Bob, be aware that an overlapping MINI5280 drive into Wyoming which is an overnight also will affect how many MINIs from MINI5280 are at the Conclave this year.

Just one of those things, lots of MINI and Mini things to do in September.

The folks who stay here will try to represent.

Don

+1

At some point though I'd rather be driving my car through the canyons than watching it sit neglected on the grass. I haven't taken it out much this summer and winter is rapidly approaching!

The Conclave has been rescheduled for October 5-6th. Their official page hasn't been updated yet, but one of the participating clubs (Lotus) has the updated info on their website:
