Well, Wellington is set to board the Rigoletto tomorrow in Southampton, arriving at Port Hueneme on June 25. Hopefully he'll be home around July 4 so we can start going to events!
I tried the link, but it had all sorts of trouble loading and then came up with X's for all of the photos. Can you give a little more info?

PS, Shelly -- you owe me a phone call or PM, missy! I need to know what your plans are for MITM! You're welcome to ride up with me if you'd like and on any of the rides, and share a room if you're interested. So if you want to go then we need to talk about things so that we can get registered!
You will not go rideless if you can't get a MINI from work. You are always welcome to go with me!

Trip plan complete!
Join us for an all day ride to 3 totally different Castles, drive through the awesome Garden of the Gods Park, thrilling twisties, picnic and more!
I.) Glen Eyrie Castle is an English style Castle build by the Founder of Colorado Springs, General Palmer, for his homesick English wife. http://www.dupontcastle.com/castles/gleneyri.htm
II.) Bishop Castle is a work-in-progress by one man: Jim Bishop. Since 1969, Mr. Bishop has been working on his mountainside masterpiece one stone at a time and it is still growing! His castle is dedicated to hard working poor people and all hard working Americans working for a better nation. http://www.dupontcastle.com/castles/bishop.htm See also MINI5280 members' photos from the 2005 & 2007 trips (links to albums).
III.) Burg Mary Castle, our last Castle visit of the day, nearly complete, is being build by Herman Beeh. We will have the opportunity to drive each Mini (or 2, or 3) up next to the Draw Bridge / Moat for a photo shoot! Herman is wanting his own Mini Cooper & welcomes Mini5280.org members to an Open Castle at the "Burge Mary Castle". http://www.dupontcastle.com/castles/burgmary.htm
Date:
Saturday, July 12 (all day, bring a picnic lunch). General plan: Glen Eyrie Castle, Garden of the Gods Park, Bishop Castle, picnic, Twisty drive, Burg Mary Castle, then dinner out for those who would like.
Bring:
Walkie-talkie radio (Chan 7, Sub 21), picnic lunch, sunscreen, full tank of gas, etc.
See July 2008 calendar for additional details.

Thanks Chuck for finishing up details for the calendar notification.
The Bishop's Castle visit has a suggested donation of $10.00 per vehicle or person as you feel lead to give, no one watches. If Mr. Bishop sees a generous amount after the Minis leave, hopefully Mini5280 will be more than welcome back again.
If the early morning hours are bothering anyone that must cover some distance just to begin this ride, check out an over night stay at our 1st Castle visit. Glen Eyrie Castle Bed & Breakfast: http://www.navigators.org/us/ministries/gleneyrie/castle/bedandbreakfast
Please feel free to contact me for any questions or suggestions you might have. This will be a long day for most, especially those w/ the greatest distance to cover. From the 1st to 3rd Castle, expect 200 miles of driving. Restroom breaks are planned in.
PM / intercoolest, e-mail gleasonmichaelc@yahoo.com or call me at 719-338-5901.

Please sign up as soon as you know you are going on this trip & let me how many people per car. If unsure, no worries......
Burg Mary Castle owners are having an "Open Castle" reception for Mini5280 & will need an approximate head count to plan refreshments from.
Last year we had 15 Mini's & 1 Subaru WRX show for the Bishop Castle ride, the recent Tweet me to some Twisties ride had 20, Western Slope ride was 12 + 1 Toyota Camery last weekend.
That would calculate to a possible 24 - 40 people, averaging 2 people per. (Matilda will likely be loaded to the brim w/ 4 in it... ) I need a count closer than that to give them.....
Thanks,
Mike
