Historically speaking, just the shift boot mod alone goes for $100 dollar asking price JIm.
One is basically getting a OEM threaded $40.00 stainless steel angled extension and a $35.00 K&N Shift **** for Free....
Good mod and gives the interior a bit of a true Euro feel. That said I did mine myself using Fleabay for the boot and a little labor (30min) for about $40. I DID find a great deal on the boot though. I'd say the complete package you have is WORTH the asking price and then some since you don't have to fit the boot to the factory ring and stuff plus the **** and shifter extension. Someone buy this so I don't buy to have a spare boot!
I went the short route with a countersunk and weighted ****. It was a genuine boot though with some slight oxidation on it. This was just after install. It looks a lot cleaner now :p
I like it. can you explain how the lever attaches to the stock shift lever? I'm not getting it from the pictures..
The 4" angled extension has M12 threading same as the shifter. The direction of it's angled section is then fine tuned with the collar nut. Once you have the desired angle, the collar nut cinches up to the extention locking it in place.
How was the shifter throw/length with this angled extension compared to stock? And do you know what brand the extension was? Thanks, looks like someone got a great deal!
