r53 cabrio front suspension braces

Looking for some low priced r53 cabrio front underhood braces to clean up and paint then install. If you have a set laying around or parting out a cabrio pm me a price plz. I have paypal..

Anybody ??? Had a shot at some but the seller unfortunately could only find one...
cooooooooouldnt I just install a front splitter support rods in place of the diagnal support rods ? I been contemplating doing that but dont know if it would be rigid enough .. do you think it would be ?

The designers added them to the R52 because there's inherent flex in the body (no roof). On an R53 they're more for looks than function. They do add a pop of color under the bonnet though.

I just bought a part from someone parting out a R53 so I'm trying to find him to see if he has the braces. What do they look like so I know I'm asking about the correct thing you want.

Is it the black tube that runs from the back if the fender down.

As mine is a glass roof car I would like to add a little extra rigidity to it for it cheap...I might see if the dealer can get them because the aftermarket vendors charging 300 for them is outrageous .

I asked the guy I just bought parts from and he said those were the first things he sold so I guess they are well sought after.

Kitchenboy, the braces only came on the R52 convertible, so they won't come from an R53.

That's what I thought but then someone said they are on both I thought even thought they do more on the convertible.

It's hard to price them, it's really what someone will pay as I seen them range from 40- being priced at 300$ though I doubt many if any ever sold for 300$ but the most I think i would spend is 80$ on them and that's just from another member ..craigslist, ebay or a salvage yard I wouldn't.
