Anyone have a mishimoto radiator. Been looking online but back ordered for a month. Last piece before I can put my mini back together. Let me know what’s out there.

Just bought 2 but ultimately had to use Ebay as I found myself in the same predicament as you.

Yes that was my second thought. Never really heard things about CSF. Are they as reliable as mishimoto?

Who says that Mishimoto are reliable? I'm on my third one, the previous two both leaked in the exact same spot.

CSF one is good..I run the CSF radiator on my Porsche, and they're a great upgrade. Ravi, the owner, really stands behind his products.

Is the CSF a direct fit? If so I’ll be canceling the mishimoto and ordering a CSF.

Both CSF and Mishimoto failed for me in three months. After loosing my shipping costs, I finally settled on used OEM radiator.. . 6 months and still running like a charm. The radiator what most tuners recommend. Even MINIs with 400 bhp are running OEM. So they are very capable. This was my experience atleast.

I know those who have installed Mishimoto and it has worked for them.

Just my two cents.

I have had both CSF and Mishimoto radiators installed and both failed within a year; the CSF went out in 6 months and the Mishimoto within a year. I just got my replacement unit from Mishimoto yesterday after waiting for 4 weeks...I am crossing my fingers that I will not have to replace this again, but based on the feedback and my experiences so far, it's a crap shoot at best.

So looks like I was being to optimistic about the reliability of both radiators. I opted for the CSF as it was the one available. Thanks for the input everyone much appreciated. Now some more waiting is required until I get to get my mini running.

Add me to the list of multiple Mishimoto radiator failures. I'm on my third one, too. :(

How do all these failures occur? I will be daily driving mine and occasionally hitting back roads when I have the chance. What exactly fails on both radiators?

Yeah, all mine were at the weld interface of the tubes going into the side tank at the upper passenger side.

The probable reason that Mishimoto is back-ordered is because they're honoring their lifetime warranties and can't keep up with demand.:(
