Cable set is sold
Up for sale is an USB AUX Switch Socket Cable Adapter Kit for Mini Cooper. Now I bought this for my 2004 R53....I was told that it would fit my car, it does not....members here informed me that this is for a GEN II MINI....I contacted the seller, contacted eBay, contacted PayPal and pleaded my case, but I lost my case and seller did nothing to refund my money
So, with all that said, here's a chance to own this and not wait for over a month to get this from overseas...pictures are below, do your homework to see if this will fit your car
Price is $30 with mailing to anywhere in the lower 48 states.....I have PayPal, I'm in NW Washington State.....PM if interested

So, could this be retrofitted to a 2nd Gen w/ just the (bottom of the barrel) stock radio? For future reference
No it can't. I've retrofitted a later head unit to my older car. I bought several different ones all with different plugs in the back. The "standard" radio CD unit has a single plug in the back for the antenna and no plug for the USB cable. You would have to upgrade your head unit first.
Got the cables today! Thanks very much! I pulled one of my spare head units from the box of them. This one has the most options including bluetooth and Sirius. The black plug next to the white is for the standard antenna, the pink one I believe is for Sirius. The white plug was made for the Green Cable end and we know the other end fits into the USB box where you plug in the iPod. The secondary cable fits in the upper right corner of the head unit. There are the same pins on the left side but the plug itself seems to fit better on the right. I haven't done the install but I'm guessing when I do and turn everything on that I'll have USB capabilities as well as the AUX input. I'll most certainly post again once I've done the install and have tested everything to find out if it works. You bought the correct cables but also need the correct head unit for them to work. I have 2 others that would not fit the green cable ends.
Here's the radio back showing the white plug, the black one next to it is the antenna plug in for the stock radio. I believe the pink one is for the Sirius Radio. You can see the pins on the left side. They are the same as the ones on the right. The plug seemed to fit better on the right than the left but will know more when I do the install. It fits there perfectly. Here's the green cable plugged in to the white plug. It was made for the spot. Once I get this installed I'll bet the USB and AUX input function as they should.
I had no colored plugs on the rear of my radio....only the connector locations in the upper right.....sounds like you are on the way to having things working soon.....
