Navigation & Audio Head unit not recognizing aux input
Navigation & AudioBring your GPS and favorite CD or MP3. This is where navigation and audio options for the Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs are discussed.
The head unit in my '06 MCS has stopped recognizing my auxiliary input recently. When I initially turn on the car, it works for only a few seconds and then cuts to the CD or radio. If I switch to either of those and wait for a couple minutes, AUX reappears but only works momentarily. I disconnected and reconnected the cable that attaches to the back of the hu, but the problem still persists. Has anyone else experienced this?
Are you sure it's plugged in all the way? I had the same issue on my R50 when I first installed the Aux In, and even though I thought it was plugged in all the way it was actually a little loose.
Thanks for the quick responses. I realized that I have been charging my iPhone and listening to music at the same time, and if I unplug the charger, AUX works. Ground loop isolator it is.
