Yeah the OP must have bad info from his friend....it's definitely an R56 rear wing, I just had one in my hand yesterday... the loop openings are different and the R53 wing is betalink glued to hatch and not screwed into spoiler like the R56's.
Your missing the bottom portion of that spoiler it was mounted to.....as far as I know it cannot be purchased separately from the wing portion....never seen it come that way....do you have the black bottom piece ?
Eurothrasher. Hey buddy, that was what i thought,he kept saying it was removed from his 06 r53. And i couldn't say no to this beautiful piece,so ended up purchasing it. Do you think the Betalink glue will hold this wing if i keep it for myself?
Idk,this is what i bought as far as i know. If nobody purchases i will either glue it with betalink or drill holes combine with glueing to put it on my r53

You will be better off drilling holes in your car and bolting it down IF it has the same contour as the hatch. There is no place for the glue to stick to on that base. The R53 base has a flat plate all the way across the bottom to glue to the hatch.
It's doable, just need to make a wedged shaped adaptor plate for differences of the surface slopes between the 1st and 2nd gen spoilers, drill holes down thru them for the bolts.....Then affix it with nuts/bolts to a Just a Cooper rear spoiler....
Would be a nice winter project.
