Why not just put one together yourself.
His filter was based on a K&N housing readily available on Ebay. I must say there's no benefit from drawing air from behind the bulk head. The hood scoop is a great option and the incoming air in NOT heated from the engine unless one is in stop and go traffic. I used temp sensor all around the engine compartment to verify what I state.

It's not so much that the bulkhead provides better air its that it provides more air and aside from the hood scoop (who's intakes cost a lot) the bulkhead is the only other place to draw cool air from outside a wheel well.

And yes you can build your own if so inclined!

No not saying more necessarily but the DOS intake utilizes both the vent cowling AND the oem air inlet so you're getting forced air from both areas. For guys running stock turbos etc it's probably not gonna make a huge difference (other than it sounds badass) but for folks with bigger turbos, exhausts, etc. it doesn't hurt.

The DOS style intake in my above post is a DIY I made myself utilizing a K&N Apollo intake, some 90% bend aluminum pipe cut to size, some Permatex RTV, and a couple silicone couplers. It basically IS a DOS GEN1 intake minus the cost.
