SOLD: R112 Challenge Wheels
Category: Wheels & Tires
Price: $300
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R56
Location (Region): West
Item Condition: Used
These came off my R56 at around 30,000 miles. A few small rock chips and 1.5" of curb rash on ONE wheel. Basically 3 of the wheels look close to new and the 4th has that 1.5" curb rash (see pic). Quote to fix the rash was $125.
Asking $300 but shipping wheels is super expensive. So please factor that in to your interest as the Buyer is responsible for shipping. Willing to drive a few hours to unload these but that's it (i.e. Tucson to Flagstaff, Arizona).
TPMS sensors still intact on each.
PM or email me with any interest at matthewrohrbach@gmail.com

The price is cheap but the shipping cost is what'll kill most interested parties. Would love to find someone in AZ but no luck so far.
The wheels came on a 2012 MCS that I took delivery on in December 2011. Built in October/November 2011. That's the best info I can provide for the TPMS. I can say I never had any issues with the TPMS.

I'd be interested. Shipping shouldn't be more than $100 absolutely max. I ship stuff for a living. I can send a much larger and way heavier box than one of these wheels coast to coast via Fedex for about $25. There's no way way shipping should be anywhere near $300. You should be able to get the perfect size boxes from any local tire shop too for free...
I've shipped large parts on Grayhound bus before (fenders, seats). It is not as convienient as UPS because you have to pick up the parcel at the bus terminal, but that is another option.
Have fun,

Gitmoe, I am happy for anyone to tell me SPECIFICALLY how to get it cheaper. Both UPS and FedEx quotes were similar. Each wheel in it's own box. Each box weighing about 25lbs. I don't want to make any money off shipping, I want these wheels gone. So if you can explicitly tell me how to get them shipped for $100 you'd be doing me a huge favor.
I agree 100% that $300 is ridiculous and not worth it. But what can I do?
If the buyer is willing to arrange the Greyhound option then I can certainly go along with that but I'm not doing the homework on it. Not worth my time. Easier to keep the wheels as a backup for my wife's R56.

local buyer is definitely the way to go… just for a quick reference, i shipped 4 s-lite wheels to WI from PA.. total cost was $27.XX per wheel. it weighed 27 lbs. each via USPS economy shipping. buyer received it in 5 business days with a tracking info. thought i'd share this experience with you. good luck on selling those real nice wheels! with tpms'… deal of the year!
So what is the size of these wheels or did I miss that somewhere? Are they 18"? I live in Tucson. Mine are R115's and they get dented easily on the chuck holes around here. That's $100 a shot. How have yours held up?
Thank you to everyone who has reached out with shipping information. It has truly been helpful. No sarcasm.
I have 2 local buyers potentially. If I can't close with them next week I'll reach out to the others who have shown interest and find a shipping method for around $100.
Thank you again!
