I'm selling my 'spare' fully rebuilt R53's Mini Cooper S W11 engine. This is considered a re-manufactured engine with zero kms. I'm selling this engine as this is an extra engine I have on hand and would like to get it out of my garage.

Finding a solid replacement engine for a first generation Mini Cooper S in Canada can be difficult or near-impossible. Duty, shipping and importing fees can be insane. Buying this engine will save you around $1000 over those sold in the states.

Most used R53 engines are high mileage, have multiple leaks and you probably don't know how they broke the engine in. Depending on the damage that may have caused you to look around for options, it will probably be less expensive to replace your engine than to have a shop attempt to rebuild it. Finding a company that has the technical knowledge and skill to rebuild a modern engine is difficult and risky.

This engine was fully disassembled, documented and treated right by Engine's Unlimited in Sarnia. Some of the work that has been done:

Full set of new engine gaskets and seals
Full set of new bearings
New piston rings
New Con Rods
New Crank
Block and head machined and honed
Valvetrain completely cleaned and reassembled
New crank position sensor
Added an OEM block heater
Added a fumoto valve

The engine comes with a 1 year warranty from Engine's Unlimited.

This is not an engine from a junk yard, it came from my car. This engine is fully rebuilt and documented and is for the type of owner that wants to keep their Mini on the road for many years to come.
