Hey guys. Selling my airride from bagriders/airlift with 1200 miles on the fronts and 300 on the rears. The rears are MINI specific ($1500 new) with the MK5 fronts ($900) and V2 management, 5gal tank, 444c compressor and all wires included ($1500). Total value of over $4000 shipped new. I am asking $3200 shipped for everything needed to put your car on air and everything has less than 1000 miles on it. The fronts have had mounting tabs welded on the bottom for increased safety as well as a tab for the swaybar endlinks. :tu:

It's very interesting, how is the ride and what about cornering? Also do you still need the tank if you don't adjust the ride height, once you find the perfect height?

 

Very cool! I'm not interested (NOLA is pothole city), but free bump for ya. Shame you are selling the car. I'm never going to sell my MINI. It'll be a glorified driveway ornament if ever it becomes cost prohibitive to drive. Haha

 

Hey MarioKart. The ride is unbelieveable. It feels like you are driving on a cloud. You barely feel any kind of bumps at all, it's almost weird. The ride quality is better than stock in every way. The handling is also significantly improved over stock and even over the coilovers I had in the past. You are able to raise the car up to a height where the car was meant to perform and where the engineers who developed the car wanted this car to have all the parts of the suspension working where they are supposed to. Plus, when you air the car up, you change the "spring rate", so if you like a stiffer ride when cornering, you can air the bags up a little bit and go from (figuratively) that 4000k spring rate you had at daily drive height to (figuratively) a 10,000k spring rate to make the car handle with more precision.

You need the tank. The idea of air ride is to be able to drive at any height you want with a very comfortable ride, then have the ability to "air it out" when you park the car for that show car stance. It's really the best of both worlds.

Ian, Thanks! Yes, I agree, but it doesn't make sense to have the car at this time. It will sit in my garage for 2 weeks without me driving it once. The only time I'm finding I need to drive it is when I feel like it needs to be driven around for the sake of the car. It shouldn't be like that, so selling it seems to be the best option.
