Got my Invidia exhaust here.
http://www.tunersports.com/invidia-n1-exhaust_mp53.html
Add coupon code of "summersavings" and reduces price to $622. Only $122 more for brand new. Sounds great, not too aggressive. Quick shipping. Had my local exhaust install for less than $100.

I live near the PA/DE line and just pulled a beautiful Megan exhaust off of the R53 we traded in on our R56. It was my Christmas present last year, so it has been used for less than 10 months, I think about 6-7,000 miles. The cans and tips are in pristine condition, the pipes have turned a little 'gold-ish', which a lot of SS does.

It sounds great, nice and throaty but deep, not like a eBay Honda exhaust.

The clamps it came with were not very effective, so I upgraded to to some SS full wrap clamps that worked very well and kept everything in place. Nice feature is that this exhaust has both hangers for the early and late R53s built in.

If I could put this on our R56, I would...

Below is a quick pic, i will post more ASAP. Come pick it up tonight if you like, $450. It is boxed up in the factory packing, ready to go!

Thanks!

Jac

No drone for me, and I always ran with the back seats down. Just a good rumble when you get on it, and some nice burble on decel!

Thanks!

Jac

No drone with the scorpion. It's a mellow sounding exhaust. Louder than the JCW though.

Was looking at an exhaust system, too. Anyone had luck with Borla? WI winters are tough and the full stainless inside out sounds great...

If you want to pay the hefty price tag for Borla go for it, if you go to youtube you can probably find several "sound" vids of various Mini Cooper exhaust setups. Many people use Borla and it is a fine product but it is going to cost $$.
