NM Engineering Torque Arm Inserts

Category: Drivetrain
Price: $50
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R56
Location (Region): Midwestern
Item Condition: Used

I am selling my NM Engineering Torque Arm Inserts. I have invested in the BSH complete replacement arm.

Although these are considered used they have been on the car less than 3 weeks and are in excellent condition.

These inserts provide so much better feed back than the stock unit. There is a increase in vibration (as with any poly product) transferred to passenger compartment but nothing that cannot be lived with.

I would like to get $50 (firm) for the set and I will ship them for free to anywhere in the US. Brand new they are $60 + whatever the vendor charges for shipping.

Just PM me if you are interested.

I have heard the BSH arm is gives you ALOT of noise in the passenger compartment. Just something to think about. Good luck with your sale. I just picked up a set of these or I would be all over this haha

Hey! Thanks for the heads up, appreciate that. You'll know if I don't like BSH arm when I post it up here. LOL. Maybe I shouldn't sell the NM's? :-/

I dont know man. I hear they make a big difference. Can't wait to get mine installed. What I said about the BSH one is what I heard from the owner of the company that I buy my parts from. He used to have one.

Keep both and sell the one that you don't like?

JPMM, do you notice allot of extra vibration/noise in the cabin with the arm?
That's what I have been reading.

No I don't have much , I like it, I had a R53 that had rattles and I had a stiff motor mount but with the R56 its less rattly so I did'nt get any when I put on the BSH . I think some people gave it a bad rap because they got a race version.

Remember how much control you need is related to how much power you have.

JPMM, could you describe the difference in vibration between the Street BSH and the inserts?

Trying to make up my mind which way to go.

I bought my JCW used. I bought the NM inserts shortly afterwards because the car was wrapping up the drivetrain under hard accelleration. Got underneath the car to install the NM inserts to find the previous owner had already installed them! Bought the BSH arm; had just little more vibration and much better control. So there it is; in a nutshell

Okay, so I installed my BSH arm yesterday I have some good news and bad news. The good news is that this arm provides instant feedback, which is expected for a 'solid' style mount on the engine side of the mount. The bad news (never doubted you lowsid3r), is the amount of vibration in the passenger compartment. Holy crap! Vibrates the mirror to the point you cant see out of it.

End result? The BSH is a must have for the track. As for the street? I say go with the NM Engineering inserts. They have great feedback but only a fraction of the vibration.

In other words sorry everyone, I am keeping the NM inserts. However look for the BSH arm for sale here, LOL.

I might be the cars are different too. I have a 2009 JCW with Swift springs . Or the install was different. Was it hard to install the bolts? Nothing hard should touch anything else hard. Maybe the BSH rubber batches are not all the same. Bought mine about 6 months ago. If you were close to E Iowa (unlikely) you could compare my car with yours! Maybe let it settle a little, its much better than the inserts in my car
