Thought I might rally up the area troops, both in NJ and in Pennsylvania for a small gathering at a very special place for the spring time.

Anybody who is a fan of vintage cars will certainly enjoy this event. I'm looking to have a meeting at the very Prestigious Simeone Foundation Museum, right in Philly. Dr. Simeone has amased quite a collection you may not find anywhere else in the North East. This meet will take place on the last Saturday of the month, either March or April for a special reason. Dr. Someone takes two of the museum cars and runs them behind the place oin a parking lot!!! (Weather permitting)

The museum is open Saturday between 10:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Tickets to get in cost $12.00, but is well worth what you get to see. Bring the young ones so they can learn about the cars of yesterday, so they may pave the way for the future of the automobile!!

Last time I was there was 2009, my friend was in love with the Alfa Romeo 8C Competioneze that just came out. It wasn't due to be in the U.S. till later in the year. I happen to lean against a curtain,I turn around, and bam, there was a metallic red 8C!!! i I took a couple quick shots before getting caught lol. The materials to build the facility aren't as top quality compared to the Collier Collection, but none the less, the cars are what it's all about.

Sorry for the long awaited reply, I've been adjusting to my new job. April 27 will be our planned date to go, hopefully it will be warm. so mark it on your calander!

I got pm's alerting me of the multi-groups heading there. Worst case here is I'm just giving information of something containing minis and classic cars at the same spot, same day, same time

 

Still would like to get together w/ any MINIs around Morristown - for the drive down. Pretty cool to have a line of MINIs on the interstate. Let's go!
