Rally to Brits on the beach
Rally to Brits on the beach
Let's motor from Mini of Monmouth (Oakhurst, NJ) to Brits on the beach car show in Ocean Grove, NJ. www.pedc.org . There was a pre-registration and space is sold out, so we will not be able to participate but they do get some awesome cars to check out. Mr. Jim will be there with RDNZL. Let’s show our support for those British cars and Mr. Jim.
Mini of Monmouth will supply breakfast (coffee and donuts)
When: Saturday, September 15, 2012
Meet: 9:00 - 9:30 a.m.
Depart: 10:00 a.m.
Start Location: Mini of Monmouth
2127 Hwy 35 (north side) Oakhurst, NJ
Limit 20 cars:This will keep things manageable.
This is a short rally and we should arrive in Ocean Grove around lunch time.
What to Bring:
2-way radios - These are not desolate country roads. We will have traffic and lights. So communication will be very helpful.
Lunch will be on our own. Lots of restaurants close by. And the culinary experience of a lifetime is just up the road. (Windmill gourmet fast food - best hot dogs around)
I will have to give Brian at M of M a head count so please let me know if you plan to attend.
I also need someone to volunteer to be the sweeper.
RSVP:to John Fragale jfragale3@comcast.net
Those in so far:
Frig
Frantic Freddy (2 cars)

I'll meet you guys at the show, I have RDNZL registered for the show. Last year we took out TR6 and won First in the early TR6 class so this year we just wanted to bring the MINI and enjoy the show.

Great event, Thanks Mini of Monmouth for breakfast and Swag Bag.
John, fantastic drive. You should call this the "The Jersey Rockers Tour", Monmouth Beach, Rumson, Red Bank, Asbury Park, The Stone Poney. The only thing you left out was "E" Street and them it would be complete.
Lunch in Asbury Park was the bomb.
And did I mention the car show? So many cars...all British. And the best didn't win..right Mr. Jim? Oh well maybe next year....
All in all it was a fantastic day.

I'm glad everyone seemed to have had a great time. Good breakfast & swag bag (thanks to Mini of Monmouth), nice ride, good lunch, great british car show and even got in a nice walk on the Asbury Park boardwalk. I almost forgot, gooood ice cream at Nagle's. What a day! I'm beat. Time for a nap.
