Hey,

Does anyone know of a good place in Jersey to get your tail lights tinted? I currently have on taillight tint film from Lamin-x, but I want to get them professionally sprayed. Any suggestions?

Sorry but I can't help you about Jersey but I have to say that I wasn't impressed with Lamin-x. The tint did not completely cover the tail lights. I ended up getting them professionally tinted at a little place in Savannah Georgia where it's best to be armed going in! Great job though!

 

Where'd you go in Savannah? When I lived there I went to Custom Car and Truck on Whitebluff to get my windows on my xB tinted. I was disappointed the guy refused to go lower than 35% but didn't think to go elsewhere. Overall I'm not all that happy cause the front windows look so different than the back ones. Oh well.. maybe someday I'll get it redone.

 

It was Swanns Auto Tint underneath the Globe at De Renne and Whitebluff. I didn't really get a chance to talk to them about window tinting though. Not sure if I'm a window tint kind of guy.

 

Ah, thought of going there but never stopped by. Always saw rims they had out on display and didn't know if they did tint or anything besides rims.

 

Yeah see I like the way the Lamin-x tints look on my headlights, but my taillights didn't come out too well. It doesn't cover the corners fully, so if you walk up to it and look, you'll notice it, and the film didn't sit properly so when you look closely, you'll see the corners have creases. I dealt with it for the past year, but I want to make it look better this time around.

 

Richie, I most definitely recommend a professional tint job. You should think about getting your boot handle vinyled to match the rear light bezels. Here's a pic of mine. It's my second favorite piece after my scuttles and I like how it accents the boot. Lyle at Vinyl Styles has it listed as an option but not on his price list. It's an easy change out and cost $50.

 

I like the way yours looks. The Black and Red go really well together. I need to look into that as well, once I find a good place to tint my tails
