Shock Mounts

This is for the R52 "S"

I just got back from the dealer and they quoted $780 for Shock Mounts to be done...

My thoughts:

1. Get it done...add strut plates and under strut plates...is this overkill?

2. Get it done...just add strut plates.

Any other ideas?

Sean,

How about Ireland Engineering Fixed Camber Plates...they look really stiff for the long run?

Strut plates on top and IE Fixed Camber Plates on Bottom...that should work right.

Is Strut plates on top, Craven Speed Indulators and the IE Fixed Camber Plates should work too?

part of the reason that seems high is due to a wheel alignment needed after

but you should shop around too

check my gallery for side by side comparo of oem strut mounts vs ie fixed camber plates.

I did the swap myself. Plus I swapped out the struts/shocks at the four corners as well.

And yes, you will need a wheel alignment, cause they have to drop the struts anyway to replace the top mount.
