Well, despite the crappy weather we had a real nice turnout tonight. 9 MINIs met at the outlets and 3 more met us over at Anthony's.
See you all next month.
See you all next month.
Thanks
Mr. Jim
Boy!...I have to tell you for a little while my wife and I were affraid it wasn't going to rain, but fate was on our side...just as we arrived at the Disney store it came down in buckets...what would a Mini GTG at the Jackson Outlet Mall be without rain. Apparently everyone decided that it was about time to get out with their Minis rain or not! What a great turnout. My wife and I got a chance to meet a lot of new faces and then of course there was the drive over to Anthony's for the Eatin' part of the evening...Great Cars...great company...great food...and great hosts at Anthonys. Many thanks to our hosts Chris, Jen and their newest member Isabella.
I have supplied a link below to the photos I took while we were all gathering at the Jackson Outlet Center before heading off...Enjoy.
Oh yes, and Paul...thanks for that little burst of speed just before "The Bridge"...I didn't know that my "Itsy" could fly!

Here's a couple of local powder coating shops that I know of. Haven't had any work done from either shop. The extent of my experience with one was a quote of $65 per wheel from bonehead performance.

Mr Jim - I had some wheels for my classic Volvo straightened, repaired (curb rash) and powder coated here: http://www.usawheels.net/
The work was very good, & they did it fast. Was a bit pricey tho - and they are way up north... (Fairfield NJ)

Did you have to leave your wheels with them for all of the above to be done, or did they handle your work while you waited?
Ed
Hi Ed,
If you don't mind a drive there is a place in Burlington area that has repaired a wheel on my Mini and I can't even tell where the damage was. The place is called Wheel Works, it is located on US130 around Neck road. The repair cost $75 and took a day, I hit a curb and broke off about 1/2 the wheel edge.

If you want quality work done - and I think this applies to pretty much anything - you've got to give them enough time to do it right...

Well as seeing that today is the 18th I feel compelled to post. I started this tread 2 years ago today and to see that it keeps going is quite an honor especially here on NAM.
Any way, this also marks the two year anniversary since we have been meeting at the Jackson Outlet Car Show.
It was just an idea two years ago to get together at Jackson because it was somewhat centrally located ( if there is such a thing) and there was something there to do (Shop and look at a lot of really cool cars). It was a Friday Night and would not eat up a whole day. Afterward we went to get something to eat at Surf Taco over in Jackson. Thanks to Nancy and Paul we even had a chance to do a little "Motoring" along the way.
We have made a lot of friends and hope to meet a lot more. Scrubby, who as since moved on to the great state of Georgia, Lorin and Joslin who come down almost every time from Jersey City, Chris and Jenn (and little Izzie) who host the "After Party" at Anthony's. Erin who comes allthe way from Pennsy as does Mikey (Herbie53) and Ian (I am not really a MINI mechanic, I did just stay in a Holiday Inn Express.) "Mr Jim" and Sherry, Paul and Nancy, Rob, Ed and Dorthy, Mike and Mike, Tobats, And a whole bunch of people I can not remmeber how to spell their names.
(sorry about that)
Some of our highlights over the past 2 years.
Lorin and Joslin "Selling" a MINI to a woman who went out and ordered one the next week and came back 3 months later to show it off.
Being the only group to show up at the Jackson Outlet Car show when no one else did because of a few rain drops. (Dedicated group we are)
Leaving the car show in true MINI fashion. All lined up and waving. (Some of the assembled motorheads refer to us as "The Skate Boards").
Having 12 MINIS show up. (We are trying to get twenty)
Any way it's been a great time and here's to it continuing!
Remember the date this month is the 28th!

We will be there on the 28th, looking forward to seeing everyone again. Would be nice to meet some new people, I plan on talking to a new neighbor that has a Mini and see if they are interested in coming.

Hi Paul,
That's the place that baron told me about I think. I'm gonna get the rims done over the winter as well as new rubber too.
Thanks

Hi guys - new to posting on this board but have been lurking for a little bit. Just ordered my mini on August 6th and found out that she went into production on August 18th at 8:35am. So excited!
I believe that we're naming my mini Lil Minx and she'll be an MCS horizon blue/white roof w/ bonnet stripes, winter & premium packages, security system, and bluetooth & ipod adapter.
I'm from NJ - the Howell area so very close to the Jackson Outlets - can't wait for my baby to arrive so I can join in the gatherings.
Quick (& maybe silly) question - how late in the year do you guys meet up in Jackson?
Looking forward to chatting and motoring with new friends here.
