I got an invitation in the mail for a MINI Owner's Clinic & Reception at Flow MINI for Tuesday March 29th. I've RSVP'd my intent to attend. (Flow is where I bought my 05 MCS in December).

Has anyone else on the forum received the invite and will be attending? I'm looking forward to meeting you there if you are.

Has anyone been to previous Clinic & Receptions at FLOW? How was it, and what should I expect?

 

I've not gotten word of this yet, but they usually send out postcards annoucing their events. To my knowledge, Flow's not had a clinic before, though they have sponsored various drives in the past that have been pretty fun events.

 

FLOW Puts this on once a quarter and normally have a good turnout. I attended my 1st one last year right after getting "TWISTER". The Winston-Salem regional VP will be there (THAT'S ME BTW) to answer any questions new owners might want to know about M2C2.org. I'd like to have some other members show up also.

I haven't gotten anything about this either. I wonder if it's just for new owners? I might be willing to show up to offer some support for the club. Did you get an invitation or you just going to show up or did you call them and invite yourself? What time is it also, which will be critical since I'd be driving down from Hickory.

Yes, it a mailing they do just for new owners. I emailed Ryan and told him I'd be coming and representing M2C2. I'd appreciate any member showing up and help handout some flyers. It starts at 6:30 but I plan on being there around 5:30. Pleas come if you can!

 

I could not get there that early. I typically do not get off work unitl after 5:30 but I could probably leave a little early that day and maybe get there by 6 if that's OK. Should I let someone at Flow know I may be coming or have you already informed them that you are going to be attempting to get some other club members to attend?

 

Just show up when you can.

I wasn't able to attend despite my best efforts.

Traffic on 85 North was apocolyptic due to construction that wasn't completed before rush hour, and I got stuck in its midst until I could escape via the nearest exit and turn back towards Charlotte.

I do hope to make it to the next one Flow holds.

 

Just wanted to update folks on how this went. I would guess there were 35-40 new Mini owners there and Flow gave the club a few minutes to "pitch" to the crowd and Mark (Twister) made a few remarks. Lynn (StylishGirl) was also there. Afterwards, we were approached by 10-15 people asking about the club and Mark handed out copies of the Newsletter and a number of applications. I think this was good exposure for the club and a good endorsement by Flow. BTW, Mark mentioned during his talk that we would like to have a Quarterly Meeting there in the future. Some seeds were sown I think. We'll see.

 

Newsletter? To which newsletter would you be referring? We have a newsletter?

 

The newletter that Debi posted online. He just made copies and handed some out.
