Autocross this weekend

There is a 2 day autocross event taking place this weekend 7/16-7/17 at the Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC. You can run one or both days, here is the website with all the info and registration:

http://www.scsportscar.com/calendar/?event_id=97

I will probably run on Sunday if anyone wants to come along.

Mark

FYI...you are required to pre-register online for this particular event.

Only required to pre-register for the HPDE which doesn't apply to us... Subaru only. You can register on-site for the AutoX. WARNING!!! The schedule is bumped up 1hr ahead of normal. Registration is 6:30-8, first car off at 9.

I'll be there in my MCS as well. Look for the nerdy guy wearing a Star Wars helmet

Ran the Mini today and had an absolute BLAST! I'm astounded by how well the car handles stock. Be ready for a fast course tomorrow... today we were in 3rd gear and pushing 80mph going into turn 14! :D

The force was with me. I took novice class again today... and I am still speechless about how easy this car is to drive. Would be nice to be able to put power down without the wheelspin, but I was putting in good times in a bone stock car on OEM tires (Conti CSC3s). I got 44mpg on the way down, kicked butt once there, and got 38mpg on the way back up WITH traffic. LOVE IT! :D

We're STILL waiting on results from Sunday, but here's a video I put together so I can compare my time to John who I know is in a better prepped car, on better tires, with a better driver. I'm proud I was able to keep up within hundreths of a second for half the course! :D

And we were both having a ball beating up on Subies.... it being a Subaru weekend, after all
