MINI's at Pops in the Park

Hello all!

I just wanted to inform you all that I am planning a rally to Charlotte Symphony's Pops in the Park on Sunday, June 27th. For those of you who do not know about Pops in the Park, it is a summer concert series hosted by the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra held in the amphitheater behind Southpark Mall. The event starts at 7:00pm with a headline artist, and at 8:15pm is when the symphony begins. The event is family oriented, though alcohol is allowed. Seating is limited to grass, so everyone brings picnic blankets, towels, or fold-up chairs.

I figure we can park all of our MINI's together near the amphitheater if we arrive early enough; around 4:30-4:45pm. So what do we do with our free time between 4:30 and 7:00 you may ask? We will walk to Cheesecake Factory and stuff ourselves with some glorious food... and of course cheesecake! After we are done eating, we will walk back to the amphitheater to a reserved area I will claim early that morning. Below is the initial schedule I have planned:

Sunday, June 27th

4:30pm - Arrive in the parking lot between ****'s Sporting Goods and the amphitheater (on the NW corner of the Mall)

5:00pm - Arrive at Cheesecake Factory to eat dinner

6:45pm - Head back to the amphitheater before the start of the show

9:30pm (roughly) - Head home

I will arrive at 8:00am to stake out a spot for us, and I will also make a reservation for us at Cheesecake Factory. I can add up to 24 people for the dinner reservation, so let me know if you will be attending, and how many you are bringing with you. If you plan on joining us later, be sure to arrive before 6:30 because it gets PACKED quickly in terms of lawn space.

Remember to bring chairs or blankets to sit on, and feel free to bring wine (either bottled... or your finest boxed wine if you're on a budget), cheese, crackers, fruit, etc., because that's what everyone else brings! Let me know if you have any questions. I will keep you updated if anything changes. My cell number is 864.903.5301 or email me at davis.robbied@gmail.com. I look forward to seeing y'all there!

I'm planning on being there but I didn't see any other takers. Is the event still on for the minis? (I'll be driving from Hendersonville...about 2 hours away).

Yep, it is still on. We have about 20 people showing up tomorrow. For some reason you are the only one I have reached through this forum. I'll put you on the list!
