AUTUMN IN THE MOUNTAINS - Oct 6
The British Car Club of Western North Carolina, and sponsor, Century Mini of Greenville SC Announce AUTUMN IN THE MOUNTAINS 2007 -- A British Car Gathering! Saturday, October 6 will long be remembered as British car enthusiasts from throughout the Southeast converge to enjoy the challenge of driving mountain roads, the camaraderie that British car owners know so well, unmatched hospitality, and all at the most spectacular time of the year in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
This is our eighth year, we return to the incomparable Chimney Rock Park in Hickory Nut George, overlooking Lake Lure, just a short drive from Asheville and minutes east of Hendersonville, NC.
All the details, and the ability to register ONLINE, are available on our website, www.autumninthemountains.org For those who prefer, one can download the Registration Form, complete it, attach a check and mail everything to our event registrars as indicated on the Form.
Several of our Club members attended this one last year, and spent the night in Hendersonville and motored all around the mountains looking at the fall foliage and doing the twisties. Sign up today and if anyone would like to spend Saturday night and do some driving Sunday before returning let me know and we'll do it. Wife and I really enjoyed this one last year. Luke

I would love to go...just depends on when the hubby will be getting back from Iraq...supposed to be sometime around the beginning of October. If they change the time for them to come home, then I'd love to come to the show.
We stayed in Hendersonville only a few minutes from the Park. I think I am going to stay Saturday Night and eat at the German Restrauant in Hendersonville, it is great. Sunday may do saluta mountain down and up and back up thru lake lure towards shelby and back to charlotte.

Hey All
Should we all try and make plans to stay over at the same place and if so where....I'm afraid that the rooms will book up quickly if they aren't gone already due to the leaf watchers....

Art got room for the 5 & 6 at Quality Inn Suites. Going to drive up friday afternoon and hang out and do car show in morning and hang out and come back sunday. Norma & I and Chris & Ann did this last year but they went back saturday after the car show and we stayed. Nice weekend getaway.
Lilruffcat, they changed the exit # but the next exit or two down there is a campground. There are really lots of them and wouldn't be surprised if you can't find one in or near chimney rock park. Luke

Nope, didn't take the FJ anywhere yesterday. We were doing yard work all day, how exciting!
I'll be heading over Saturday to check out the car show, in the morning then heading back home in the afternoon. Anybody who wants to hook up and go over or back together, let me know?
