I am ordering my MINI friday, I cant wait, it will be a great step up from my 98 honda civic. I do have one thing to ask about, the Anthracite dash,does it look good, anyone have any pics

 

The antracite dash I think is probobly the 3rd best looking when it comes to mini dashes. My favorites are, in order:
1) piano black
2) body color
3) antracite

I got the anthracite in my car which I have no problems with. I will be painting it eventually to give it a bit of a custom look. I do think if you are going to go with the anthracite dash you should also go with the anthracite headliner.

I don't have any pix but there should be some as the anthracite dash is the most common.

 

I have the anthracite dash and I must say it compliments the Dark Silver body color real nice. My wife's 2006 SB will get a silver dash to match the roof and mirrors but I have to agree with prime-drk- that the piano dash is the best IMHO.

 

the anthracite looks good... i think it gives the car a classy, low-key look inside. I actually was going for an anthracite dash, but then changed my mind at the last minute and went for the body color.

if you do go with the anthracite and want to give it a little extra sparkle... add the chrome-line interior... if you like a little bling. otherwise, the rings around the dials in the anthracite are a dark gray and, overall, in my opinion look a little dull.

if you have a dealer nearby, you should also take a look at the piano black... it is sweet, and I'm beginning to think I should have ordered it... it looks REALLY nice with the chrome line interior (see in picture attached). I was worried the car would be a little too "black" though.

attached are two pics... the anthracite is not a great pic, but the only one I have. You really need to see it in person to make a decision. the anthracite has some sparkles in the color (not sure if that's the best description), but I wasn't crazy about that. also the piano black... again not a great picture (should be seen in person). perhaps someone has better...

HAHA - When I bought my MINI two years ago, I traded in my '97 Civic! You will not be sorry!!

I've seen many pics of the anthracite dash. Hot, hot, hot is what I have to say!!

ETA - is the piano black an extra charge? If I were getting astro black, I would seriously consider the piano black dash. But then with the regular grey headliner. Anthracite headliner would be a bit too dark then IMO...

 

not even 200 dollars on a partial loan? thats about 1 dollar a month more maybe. Anthracite though can provide a classier interior. 200 dollar chromeline interior is a nice option, lots of bang for buckage there. oh...

Sport seats. Thats an option that is perfect for a just-a-mini. It has lots more support. I would do that and anthracite if I was on a budget for the purchase. The car is not cheap any way you slice it, dont skimp, regrets later will be immense if you keep it and not lease it.

 

If the body color dash inserts were available on the base Cooper, I would have jumped on that in a microsecond.

Well I went by the dealer today, I looked at the anthracite, I love it, definately getting it. An I am not the one paying it, thats why no piano black, my dad is, I am just happy to be getting the mini

I have always had a thing for the Mini, my dad had a classic when I lived in England and was young and I loved them ever since. When I heard about the new one coming out I said I had to have one. And now the time has come and I am getting one

He wants another classic, but he cant pull his boat with it so mom says no mini for him

 

MIB is Astro Black monotone with Antrhacite interior but Gray headliner.

If I had to do it over I would have went AB/Silver roof with Anthracite head liner.
