I didn't think the 07 Minis were going to be out til Feb 2007. I don't even think they are out in the UK yet.

 

Could it have been a mule with out the disguise??

 

Oddly enough in CA, especially in Southern CA, there are alot of sightings of new models. You'd think here, the "car capitol", would not be the place to test a new model before it's debut. But it happens all the time.

 

Ya, running a flat black car with a bunch of painted duck tape and foam disguising the body does do somthing to the appeal factor. I figure I'll take all that stuff off and actually paint mine a bright color when it comes. Should look much better that way.

 

There are several car Mfg. that have testing facilities in the So Cal area, BMW being one of them. The first ever pics of the S in 2001 were taken on the ventura Fwy. I personally saw the engine compartment of a twin turbo BMW over a year ago

Was definitely an 07 S...black without any disguise. Had three or four people inside. Was going north on Harbor....Port Hueneme where Mini shipments arrive for this area is just south of the Oxnard Beach Areas.

The look is quite a bit more upright than the present style as well as a bit boxy looking in my opinion.
