I noticed there was no Production Week 37 thread, which is currently in production -- so I decided to start one myself...

I'm located in the bay area and ordered my 06 MCS just about 5 weeks ago from south bay mini in socal - was scheduled for Nov production originally but I got super lucky and production was pushed to week 37, to be completed on Sept 18! Really can't wait!!

We made it to the 2nd week of '06 production.... who else has a week 37 MINI?

 

We've been posting over in the week 38 thread. 37 is so much better though, prime number and all.

I also have a Sb/S MCS, I ordered a few days before you so mine better come off that line first. :smile: I'll be picking mine up from Motorwerks in Edina, MN, it will be interesting to see who gets theirs first. I understand the delay at the VPC can be quite long.

 

Looks like I'll be a part of this group. I was in the paint shop yesterday and scheduled to be completed tomorrow.

Ask Mini says I am in the Paint Shop and scheduled for completion 9/12. I am hoping this means that the status just hasn't been updated yet.

But I just sent and email to MINI asking for my official production week, so I don't go schizo with these forums.

What's "ask mini"? Is it a phone number? I've tried 800 and 888 area code.

Yeay, just called and looks like I'm in the body shop today.... still on schedule to finish on the 18th... then it's about 6 weeks to arrive on the west coast -- so looking at around the beginning of Nov.

Hello! I believe I'm in the week 37 club. According to OL, mine is "En Route". I know there is a way for me to find the actual ship that it is on, but I don't know what it is. Does anyone know? Also, am I the only one who the 2wglobal.com doesn't acknowledge to my VIN number input? Is it because I'm in the West Coast = different shipping company??

My dealer told me I could expect the car by the end of October. Is he wrong? Some of you said November.... ???

My little no-name BRG MCS is now appearing on the WW cargo tracking site. She was booked on the Maersk Teal as of Saturday. Assuming she doesn't get booted off for bad behavior, it looks like a Sept. 22 departure and an Oct. 5 arrival in S.C.

 

Same here. My BRG/B MCS will be arriving in Charleston on the Maersk.

 

you guys are slightly ahead of me now... just called and i was in final assembly as of yesterday....

Hey guys - I'm on the Maersk Teal too - my BRG MCSC. It's actually my second MINI -the first is a 2003 BRG/BRG MSC, loaded, with all the performance toys. I really hate to sell it, but I'll have to, before the new one gets here.

This is the most fun car I have ever owned - especially working on it and adding all the performance mods. I've taken off a few parts (Alta intake, Unichip, nology wires) to put on the cabrio, but I'll leave the exhaust and pulley - it's too much work to remove!

Good luck on the sale, smcfamily. I too had to sale my 03 MCS for my new one. It's suprising how fast a used MINI can sale right now. A day after mine hit Autotrader it was sold. It does help that the nearest dealership 100 miles away can't keep new ones in stock.

 

Well, mine is one of the 119 scheduled to catch the Maersk too! She was on the Jingu Maru but didn't make the ship. Oh well....I'm having serious MINI withdrawl though, I sold my 03 S last week, so now I'm just waiting. :impatient :impatient :impatient :impatient :impatient :impatient :impatient
