Just thought I would say hi to all my buds back in IN. No real reason to post a thread, but I wanted to be the person who posted from farthest away . I have seen several MINIs in Kyoto (where I am now) including several classics. I do miss my MINI though . See y'all when I get back .

I have all the Japanese MINI dealer address... do you need it? but, it is in Japanese... Can you read?

 

Stopped by the dealer today ! I did in fact get a mug that was a "present" (shhhhh), as well as a set of MINI chop sticks. They also had a REALLY cool deck of cards that was a calender and also had different MINI options on each card, but they couldn`t give me it as it was their last one and it was a promotional keep at the dealer type thingy. (Carissa, if you get any I will bug you everyday until I get a set ) I`ll post pics when I get back, as tomorrow I will be flying back home REALLY really fast, so fast that I will be landing slightly before I left Japan . See y`all at the Wicks driving days this weekend.

As promised, pics from Japan. Great trip, but I am glad to be back where I can read signs and understand people. Guess I need to just learn Japanese .

One of the many Japanese MINI's I encountered, never saw a S driving around though . (notice the counterfit MINI cab in the background )


Me at one of the MINI dealers in Tokyo. They were very nice and spoke a little english . Even gave me a "present" MINI convertable mug.


It may look like a classic, but it's not. Guess it goes to show just how good a design the original was, being copied 45 years later.


Took a little side trip to visit Suzuka circuit. This was a view from the top of the Ferris wheel which was part of the amusement park that was part of the track. Also had an excelent rollercoaster.
