Boot Stripes installed today -- Photo
I installed my boot stripes today. I got them from Mike at Aesthetic Creations. I recommend Mike highly. He answered all my questions and gave me perfect install advice. I received the stripes three days after ordering-that's fast! It was my first stripe install so I took my time and it all came together nicely. The stripes are very nice. I wanted to publicly thank Mike for answering all my questions so quickly and for providing such quality products.

It took about 2 hours and most of the time was spent measuring and cutting out the badge. Mike recommended removing the badge and installing a new one on top of the stripe but I liked it cut out. It would have gone much quicker his way. I think it looks good both ways but cutting is difficult and risky. I could have easily ruined the stripe. The install was enjoyable though and I'm hoping to do something else more custom soon.

I really like the way it makes the car look wider too.

Stripes!!!
Are these stripes like the official Mini Stripes on the bonnet? In other words is the black part part of the white stripe or is it a thin "pin stripe" that you have to put on the white stripes?
Do you have an email or web address for your source?

They are like the factory stripes. The black edge is part of the white stripe. They look even better in person; I'm not much of a photographer. The Webb decal cost me about $1700.00 but Randy was nice enough to throw in some parts.

How do I remove the CooperS emblem and re-install without reuining the stripe? ?
You will need to remove the old badge, clean the boot with a mix of 40% alcohol & 60% water, apply stripes, then replace badge with a new one from the dealership. Mike sends directions and a tool for smoothing the stripes on.
The yellow mini has the badge over the stripe. Mine has it cut out to make the badge stand out a little more, in my opinion anyway.

How did you cut yours without ruining it ?
I taped both stripes in place where I wanted them. I wanted the stripe running down even with the cooper badge. Making note of the top and bottom gap. I slide a thin ruler under the stripe so it was laying on top of the badge, made marks on the over hanging backing paper, then used a paper cutter to make a straight cut on my marks. Make the cuts a little on the long side just in case. I rehung the stripe in the same spot that I maked on the body with tape, then marked the bottom of the badge the same way, then cut it. I had to recut both the top and the bottom a little less than 1/4 inch to get the gap I liked but the first ruler cuts had given me the perfect angle so cutting a little more off the same angle was easy with the paper cutter. I taped it up and checked how it was working a bunch along the way. I would recommend putting tape marks on the car so you can put it back in the same place quickly to check cuts. The hardest part is keeping it lined up straight once you start cutting it. I taped it back together to check once just to check but the tape marks on the car help keep it in position the best. I hope this helps. It would be far easier to put a new badge over the stripe. I just liked the look of it cut out better so I risked the cutting method.
Good Luck

There is a cooper badge for sale in the marketplace, for anyone about to add boot stripes. He used the S off of the badge but the word cooper is all you need any way. Just leave your S when you take off your cooper badge, apply your new stripes then use the remaining S to line up the new badge. That should help you get the badge back in the perfect spot and save a little money too.
