Aftermarket Exhaust

There doesnt seem to be a lot of options for a non-S model Not looking to get any power from this mod. I just want to hear the car at least.

Looks like only the Scorpion cat-back and the Remus axle-back are my only options. Any thoughts which one I should get? Hard to tell from the youtube audio. Also, any reason why I would want to keep the resonator?

I'd reach out to Mike at ECS ( @ECS Tuning or Way ( @WayMotorWorks ). Both have sold and installed several exhausts/downpipes and can provide their POV from first hand experience

Otherwise - you could go down a rabbit hole of options before you land what you want

Id work thru Mike @ECSTuning .. he is their parts manager and mini owner. The sales support team is good for taking orders, but Mike brings hands in experience.

The same with Way - see if you can work with him directly. He is tough to get a hold of though live, but responds to emails once a day

The resonated systems help with the loudness and drone. The millteks and others dont drone that bad in Non resonated and they tuned the system to the car. If you get a No Name brand (off ebay) and it does not have a resonated system it will sound like a 1990's honda with a straight pipe.

Hey Mike, so you recommend I keep the resonator?

I see you have Scorpion and Remus on your site. What other options do I have?

Hello,

If you do non res, get it from a known brand we carry, it will be much louder then stock. But will not drone that much.

Not many options for the Cooper R56 but thats what we have.

Having experienced drone - I would not want it ( albeit not in your application ). So would go resonated .... Any muffler shop can remove it if you have too.

I don't see the exhaust diameters listed - not sure what Factory ID is for a non S, vs these. If it is a big increase - you might get drone ...
