Aftermarket Exhaust

Hi All,
I have an '05 MCC CVT and would like to add an aftermarket exhaust system to it. I am looking for one that is throaty, sporty and let's people know that you have an aftermarket\custom exhaust, but at the same time doesn't wake up the whole neighborhood if you know what I mean. Any suggestions? If anybody out there has one and would be willing to share your reviews, along with any pics or sound clips you have, that would be great!! I appreciate your time.

Thanks!!

Our car has an add-on Remus: inexpensive, because you cut the tailpipe after the resonator and clamp it on. Excellent sound volume and quality + no droning. Ours is an 03 CVT - don't know if there is a model to fit 05. Octaneguy has a great DIY write-up on adding this exhaust.

Go to www.myminiparts.com and talk to Pete. I just bought a MyMini touring exhaust with the resonator. I like it a lot, but can see where some might think it's a bit too quiet. Pete also had two other brands of MC Exhaust, PlayMini and a German made one I can't remember the name of.

He'll give you advice and a good deal. Check it out.

I just installed a Borla in my 02 CVT last night. I don't have a bunch of feedback yet. In the 35 miles so far, it seems like it can be loud when you give it, but not if you want to purr around. I've read that the sound will change over the first week of usage. Search the mini2 forums for the sound clips, they are there.

I have a spouse satisfaction rating that still needs to be met. Of course if I get to drive the mini because she doesn't like the sound, all the better.
