Is there really a need to buy an entire catback system? Aren't most aftermarket systems the same as stock without a resonator and a different muffler/tips?

 

Catbacks don't really add power so the only reason you would buy one is for the sound. And no an aftermarket catback is not really all that similar to a factory catback. They use lighter materials and are often bigger in diameter

It's true, but the right sound adds a lot of fun to a car. It maybe or may not be worth it to people, but downpipes on Makes a real difference and adds about 20% to the exhaust note
