Hey guys, the wife has an F55 (2021 Cooper S; 4 door) and i noticed yesterday that one of her DRL headlight 'rings' wasn't on. I tried searching for answers but just got articles/videos on headlight upgrades. Thoughts on where to start first? I usually do research before jumping in. Thanks!

I’m wondering if the plug for the DRL/turn signal module became loose/disconnected 🤔

I took a look at the light today and the headlight with the issue is dimly lighting up the halo. I didn't have time to disassemble the heat shield to look at the innards of the light.

 

Update:

The PNs for the led DRL assembly is:

You can also buy the DRL pcbs from AliExpress. I bought a set for $31. No affiliation with the seller, just sharing a link so people are able to get an idea.

The AliExpress DRL pcb was no good- it's been around 2 weeks and it's back to being dim

I will reach out to Valeo whom make its, my guess is they never released them into aftersales, thus only MINI.

 

Thanks! I'm trying to avoid paying for the full assembly since it's just the pcb that's gone bad. I tried searching for the part number printed on the pcb, but didn't have any luck. Here's a picture of the oem pcb that crapped out on me, just in case you have more luck with valeo

 

Yea, valeo has a bunch of part numbers and they dont release them into aftersales ever, its just how they do business. OEM contracts come first.
