F55 S front/rear fog lights. Do I just need switch to be able to use these?
Currently, the switch in the car does not have these buttons to use front or rear fog lights. It is just black buttons. How can I be able to have front and rear fog lights? Am I able to purchase switch and be able? Help. Thanks
next to your rotary light switch do you have 2 buttons ? (top one - front fog/cornering lt.s,, lower one - rear fog lt.s) they should be marked with little headlight figures. (they only operate when lt. switch is on) my 2, top one marked & functional, bottom one unmarked & useless. it's on my list of things to pursue to get lower rear lt.s on. I hate to say it but talk to Mini dealer & learn what you can. I would think the wiring is there & replacing the dummy switches is all, but I don't know. I have same rear lt.s on my '15 F-56.BY THE WAY, your front lights (lenses) look just like mine, check Build Sheet & VIN # Sheet.
I do have the two buttons but don't have pics on them. So basically, useless. That's what I'm thinking though. That maybe I can switch oit the switch and be able to use these cause I think it's readily available. Not sure though.

Yes, you can purchase the switch, then use Bimmercode to activate them.
Im surprised the fronts aren't active already.

After looking this afternoon, I realized that when I switch my lights off of auto and just turn all the way on the front fog lights are on. (I have always just had in auto mode). So yes, they work that way. But not to where I can just turn on and off.
when you have lt. switch on & front fog lights glowing, imagine them getting super bright & actually turning in to fog/cornering lt.s - that's what happens when you replace switches & turn on with Bimmercode. right now they are just useless marker lt.s

From looking at your car it doesnt seem like you have front fog lights, the upper part of that circle is just the daytime running lights, the bottom part is where the fog light would be. So you would need to purchase the switch with both front and rear fog buttons, and if im correct would need to buy the proper foglight housing for the front and possibly rear bumpers. Wiring and/or programming would be another issue depending on what options your car came equipped with. You can buy these parts from several online MINI vendors like ECS Tuning, MINI Mania, outmotoring, etc.
Fog lights = no

2 things you should have in your folder- your Build Sheet & your VIN # Sheet. ALSO do you have Carfax there ? on a used car in the states, they mostly do. I'd inquire about all 3 @ Mini & talk to them about your lights FIRST.
You would have to do more research, but based on what is shown here.
Take these numbers with a grain of salt, I might be completely off, as Realoem.com stops
