Any idea why they are not making piano black door handles anymore? My car is less than a year and im unable to complete chrome wipe.

 

Lots of worldwide parts shortages, maybe this is a part of that. When I got online to try to price out a 2023 Cooper JCW vs my 2022 Cooper JCW, there were a lot of things that were not available any longer, so a comparison was not possible.

BTW, the 2023 Cooper JCW Iconic package does include the black trim, but you're paying a lot more money for the car.

 

ECS does not have 2022 Mini parts list yet but once they have it, check to see if pre LCI2 handles fit on LCI2 or not.
I recently got a set for my 2015 LCI1 from remaining stocks.

 

What does "unable to complete chrome wipe" mean?

 

He basically wants to remove all chrome parts (door handles, gas cap, grille surroundings, headlights/taillight trims/belt lines, front/rear emblems) to piano black versions. =)

Im happy to have been able to get my car when I did 6 months ago. At the time the only think NOT available was the H/K sound system. But they gave us a $500 credit because of it. I feel bad for new buyers not being able to get stuff that might have been a deal breaker for me, like manual trans, digital dash, black trim. My car is fully blacked out from the factory (except on the interior).
