i want a gas door in black for my 04 mini cooper s, i dont want the chrome. any regular cooper's wanna trade me for my chrome S cap?

I have an Astro black Cooper petrol door that'll sell you for $10 plus shipping. I don't need another chrome door though.

 

is that the same black i have, did they have more than 1 black in 04 or not?

 

In 2004 the black was Jet Black. Astro black is a blue-ish black from 2005 and on.

Or, you could scuff/paint your chrome one. Easy to remove. Just make sure it is well scuffed and really clean before spraying.

Astro black is metallic. Jet black is the same non-metallic black that is on the roof of all the non-Astro black MINIs with black roofs. I recently had a chrome MCS door powdercoated black and it looks GREAT on the car.

 

i could get mine painted and cleared for next to nothing (my body guy only charged60 bux TOTAL to paint all 4 of my slites)

but i think i want the regular looking gas cap.

 

how much more is the chrome S cap worth compared to a regular gas door? if i do a straight up trade, should the other guy with the regular cap offer some money as well (i would assume the chrome is worth more, and i would use that money to get the door painted jet black)
