JCW hood and bumper

Lets say that as of last night you now need to source a hood and bumper for your daughters 2006 R52 JCW. Where would you shop? Shipping to Florida. will a R53S hood fit? I think the bumper may be the hard part.

Ok I checked Allmag and they have a hood in the cool blue color I need but its peppered with rock chips and will need painted. Its the same price as a (shipped) new one in primer from carparts.com. It does have some good bits with it though, wiring and hinges and whatnot. Experience with either? A lot less sanding with the new one but a bit fearful of fitment issues. Paint is easy.. sanding sucks.

Still trying to get the hood open for proper assessment. Poor dear Alice, such a sweet car.

I've bought from these guys... they have a lot of parts... and know how to pack for shipping.

Any R53 2005/2006 hood should work.

Would be great to find one in the orginal color... even if it needs repaint... painting the backside is a PITA.

Aftermarket hoods.... Can often have fit issues.

^^ This, if the backside is a concern the Cool Blue hood you found at Allmag might be the way to go even it needs a repaint. If you tend to prefer really clean/perfect cars, I think any hood will likely need a repaint unless you’re able to remove it and transport it yourself since used parts places don’t seem to handle them as carefully assuming they’re going to be painted, or they end up getting damaged in shipping.

Regarding a used hood, why only an 2005/2006 R53 hood and not any R53 or R52S, weren’t all supercharged 1st gen hoods the same?
