Bushing Upgrade

I’ll be doing a clutch job soon and wanted to get my front subframe bushings all swapped out as the car has 120,000 miles on her. Does anyone have a list of all the bushings I should be replacing?

I JUST got done with this job! I replaced the front control arm bushings and front sway bar bushings. You might also consider adding the lower engine mount inserts. No other bushings in the front of the car.

This is what I used:

The biggest and most important is the front control arm bushings
https://www.waymotorworks.com/powerf...7-r58-r59.html

We also do the front sway bar bushings with them as you will already have them unbolted
https://www.waymotorworks.com/powerf...7-r58-r59.html

And doing the insert for the lower engine mount is a great mod as it will reduce engine rock and improve the shifting feel.

This is also another little insert bushing that fills in the gaps in the trans mount to reduce rocking even more.

Since you are doing a clutch job I would really encourage you to do the LSD if you are into performance at all as this will be the biggest gain in getting the HP to the ground and requires the trans to be removed to install.

How many hours to replace control arm and sway bar bushings? Lower engine mount inserts - Can't say enough about these! Mine was complete toast, I thought I needed new suspension in a major way, when hitting bumps the entire car would move! With the inserts and new lower engine mount it is a night and day difference.

I bought the loaded control arm bushings brackets from Way Motors, so I didn't have to mess around trying to get the old bushing removed and the new one installed. I also had the whole subframe dropped to facilitate the clutch replacement. If I had to guess how long just to drop the subframe and replace the bushings... maybe 2-3 hours? You could easily knock it out on a Saturday afternoon.
