911 !!! I need HELP Installing wheels!!!

I have two of my new Exel wheels on. I am exremely worried if the stock Hub has to match up with the new wheel, or if the bolts just hold it on!!!

The hole on the new wheels is fairly large in diameter. I do not think it is a hubcentric.

I'm no expert, but I think you may need hub rings. I think there are lots of aftermarket wheels with holes large enough to accomodate a variety of hubs.

I think you're ok as long as you get the wheels centered evenly around the hub. If not, it will tend to vibrate.

Someone correct me if this is wrong.

You need hubcentric rings. Discount tire direct or Tirerack has them. Stick with metal ones if you can. Mine wasn't happy with plastic...shaky steering wheel

Exel wheels are usually 73.1mm
The MINI's hub is 56.1mm

Yes, you need hubcentric rings.

I once had wheels installed by a shop that forgot to add the hub rings. Lotsa shakin' when I drove. They eventually added the rings and all was well.

Any Wheel & Tire shop (like Discount Tire, etc.) that sells aftermarket wheels will have hub-centric rings.

I called Tirerack, they only carry hubcentrics for the wheels they carry. None for the Exel brand. I will try Discount next.
