Please help if you can... R56 REAR seats into R53

I'm also interested in finding out exactly which brackets/bushings from the R56 must be used with the R53 REAR seats to mount them into the car.

I hope that some of you that have done this can help out...

The other threads (I've read them all) just refer to it but dont show the brackets/bushings (though it is possible I somehow misssed it).

In these diagrams below... what brackets have to be swapped over to the R53 from the R56?

Thank you in advance for any light you can shed on this topic !!

The only thing you need to do is file the outer pivot holes to fit the R56 seats. I did this on a R53. I wrapped the pivot on the seat in some insulating tape and installed it right in. There was no noise from it after the install. It is relatively easy.

Remove part number 10 from the R 53 and get one from a R56. I got mine from junkyard.

m

just screw off the old rear seat center bracket part number 10
and get a new one from junk yard
install it
and you rear seats will snap into it very easy

u need to make the side holes bigger for the seat post that hook up to the side of the interior car panel

U need to get this rear center seat bracket from a r56 to install into the R53 so the rear seats can lock into place in the center.

get one at a junk yard like I did

R56 seats front and rear install into a 2006 R53. Mini Cooper S manual . It indeed we fits. It is indeed easy to do both front and back. Pull out the weight sensor from old seat or junkyard r53 seat and connect it to you new passenger seat set up so that the airbag light doesn’t stay on. Or get a bypass one on line .

They look like R56 lounge leather seats.
