Hi, I bought a 1964 mk1 Panel van 1 1/2 years ago. And love it , it basically goes to local cars shows. Really draws attention , almost too much! Not much for out of town trips.
Now I'm looking for something for longer trips but still with the mini Panel look to it. I found a 2014 Clubman BRG ,automatic ,sport seats, and sport suspension. Really clean, from the southwest, so no rust issues. I think it would be cool with the back side windows and around the taillights painted green for the Clubvan look.
What are your opinions on the reliability and ride on this type of Mini? The Carfax shows the normal oil changes and service ant the dealer. New tires last year. Only strange thing, the first 2 owners only have it for a year each. Then the 3rd had it until this month and put 35,000 miles on it.
Any response would be very welcome......Thanks-John
Thanks njaremka, Got the deal done, waiting for the check to clear and arrange for the transporter for the 1900 mile trip from Tuscan Arizona to Ohio. Can't wait....John
That isn’t to far from zanesville. I have been up there twice, during quarantine, and drove st rt 555 back down to st rt 32, 63 miles of hills and curves. Been trying to check off Ohio windy 9.
Maybe we could get a social distance meetup at the triple nickel salon. I met an other owner from Columbus, when I picked up a set of tires, that might be down for a little trip out of the condo.
I know those roads all too well, I drive a semi truck ,a dirty old coal bucket. 12 hours a day ,mostly on 2 lane roads. It's nice getting out of the biggest thing on the road, in to the smallest. Maybe next spring for the meet up. Should have the MINI in a couple of weeks. I'll post pics....Johnhere's one !

2012 with 63k, been an awesome car, have had it since March of 2019, only things I’ve had to do was a fluid flush, oil changes, and replaced front struts.
It's home! Never drove a new MINI before , What a blast,- rides much better than expected, especially with the Pirelli P-zero run flats.
Windows leaked a bit through the high pressure car wash, having a tough time with the center section ( I'm a flip phone dummy) .
But I love it ! Looks good next to the Mk 1 Panel van....John
