After a long waiting... all the right parts and proper coding/flashing together, completed my project. Upgraded from ID4 to ID5 with Carplay and touchscreen. ( 100% functionality )

I have a 4 gigabyte NBT Evo originally from a Mini (that uses the blue GPS connector, so no ATM is required) and an 8.8" Mini touchscreen that I would sell, and I can help with the necessary flashing/coding of the headunit to make this essentially a plug and play process.

I checked that website and it didn’t identify the iDrive version. I have a 2017 JCW F54. It has 8.8” touchscreen and Nav

 

If you have the touch screen, then you have the ID5/ID6 unit in your car.

I have all the parts you need if you are interested, I recently completed this retrofit for my F57 from 6.5 screen to 8.8 touchscreen with CarPlay, when i started tracking parts, I've ordered some parts from a guy on ebay but took almost like 3 months arrive because he was overseas by that time I was already done. I'm in USA

The donor car was F60 countryman, I have almost everything you might need, the central instrument part with bring ring, radio and hazard buttons, 8.8 touch screen, idrive **** and HW 4.1 (rare) headunit and programable to CarPlay, you might need to buy a HSD Cid cable for the screen (different voltage) and HSD USB/Aux cable

if you are interested give send me PM, worth noting that i don't do the code benching part to flash the headunit to your VIN number and add CarPlay, but I'm sure there are several users here in the forum that can do it for you at a reasonable price.

Yes! you can... that is similar to what i did to my f57 was 6.5 no navigation or touch... read all the post there is very useful information to get it done.

Depending on what parts you might require... your car might need a new headunit (stereo brain), new touchscreen and I drive ****... the central instrument and bling ring are for those who are retrofitting from 6.5 to 8.8 screen.

as for the parts you have many options, But in all of them you still need someone who code them for your car
* Ebay - make sure you get the right HW version not all headunits are created equal,
* Here in the forums on some parts for sale.
* I have some those parts You need available For sale (hw 4.1 headunit, 8.8 touchscreen, Idrive ****, central instrument and bling ring)
* order parts from mini parts dealer although is a head ache with the headunits because is hard to find the right part and most mini dealers refuse to sell you the units for the retrofit, personal experience. And obviously more expensive than all above.

I’m not a coder and I do not know how to program headunits, some users here will be able to help you for a reasonable price in case you need so.
