Plastic trim cover pops off

Every time I put the top down on my 2011 cooper S, the plastic trim piece pops off and hits me in the head!! All of the plastic rivets are in place. In fact, I replaced them. But I cannot figure out how to keep it in place. Help!!!

The tray in the middle? If yes, there are also two screws, one on each side, that you can see when the top is in a half open state. On mine, someone ripped off the tabs on the tray - and then it started to come down when opening or on bumps.

I don't have screws on my R57? Anyway, I would botch it and wrap the rivets with tape for a tighter fit.
