R55 Active sub install

hello.
i am installing an active sub. can i use the black and red wire on the rear cigarette lighter for the remote? and where is a decent grounding point in the boot?

You can, but you will get a nasty turn on thump every time you start your car. I posted a few links for you to read below. Once you have the rear side panels removed there will be a common ground you can use. I use it and have zero noise issues. It's really not that hard to take apart the interior and it gets easier the more you do it. I think I can do it in 20 minutes now. Let me know if you have any other questions.
