I have a 2013 Countryman that the rear hatch won't release. I had to unbolt the latch from the inside to get it open because it does not have a manual release.


There is usually something like a solenoid sound when the latch disengages to open the door. It is no longer making that sound when trying to open the rear hatch. So I checked all the fuses, they're all good. Is there a relay somewhere to check? Is there something else to check?

maybe the latch itself went bad.
